Terms & Conditions
Project engagements, milestone billing, code ownership, and care plan terms for Swap Design.

These Swap Design terms and conditions govern all website design, custom WordPress development, website redesign, logo and branding design, and ongoing WordPress maintenance engagements delivered by Swapnil Patil through Swap Design.
1. Written Scope of Work
Every website build, redesign, or branding project begins with a written scope outlining the exact page count, deliverables, turnaround time, and fixed price. High-converting landing pages start at $200 (5 to 7 business days), full custom WordPress websites start at $500 (2 to 3 weeks), and monthly care plans start at $120/month. Any new pages or custom features requested outside the agreed scope are quoted separately before work begins.
2. Milestone Payments & Billing
All invoices are billed in $ (USD) and settled via Wire Transfer or PayPal. Standard build projects run on clear milestones: a 50% deposit upon scope sign-off to reserve build time, and the remaining 50% balance after you review and approve the finished site on our private staging link prior to live launch.
3. Client Ownership & Intellectual Property
Upon full settlement of the final invoice, 100% of the custom WordPress theme files, Gutenberg block layouts, graphics, vector logo files, and content belong to the client. You retain full administrator access to your domain registrar, hosting server, and WordPress dashboard.
4. Post-Launch Warranty & Monthly Care Plans
Every website launch includes a complimentary 30-to-60-day bug-fix warranty covering any code or layout issues related to the original scope. Ongoing weekly plugin updates, offsite cloud backups, security monitoring, and content edits are provided under separate monthly WordPress maintenance packages.
5. Frequently Asked Questions About Our Terms
Who owns the website code and design files after launch?
Once the final invoice is paid in full, the client owns 100% of the custom website code, WordPress theme files, database, and design assets with zero agency lock-in.
How are payments structured for website projects?
All projects are billed in USD ($) via Wire Transfer or PayPal. Standard projects run on milestone payments (50% deposit to start and 50% upon staging approval before live deployment).
Can I cancel a monthly WordPress maintenance plan at any time?
Yes. Monthly WordPress care plans (starting at $120/month) run month-to-month without long-term lock-in contracts and can be cancelled with written notice before the next billing cycle.
